The World of Archie panel took place this past Saturday at Baltimore Comic Con, and Archie Comics was thrilled that Afterlife with Archie artist Francesco Francavilla was able to take time out of his very busy schedule and sit in on the panel.

Bleeding Cool covered the panel and stated that soon-to-be-released series like Afterlife with Archie and The Fox suggest that “Archie Comics doesn’t shy away from shifting its public image these days into more challenging realms, but the secret to their success seems to be building on long standing good ideas rather than radical departures that might lose core readership.”

Also covered during the panel were updates to the upcoming Red Circle Comics series The Fox with artist and writers Dean Haspiel, Mark Waid and J.M. DeMatteis. And as for Archie Comics‘ beloved line: writer Paul Kupperberg discussed all of the exciting and unforgettable upcoming storylines in Life With Archie, writer/artist Dan Parent talked about his GLAAD Media Award-winning seriesKevin Keller as well as what’s next with The Archies, and Harvey Award-nominated Most Promising New Talent artist Ryan Jampole discussed what to expect in Mega Man.
